2, 3, 4, 6, 7: All classes took the Hamlet Vocab #1 Quiz. All except 6th received the Hamlet Act I Study Guide, and we used the randomizer to assign reading parts for next week. (Mrs. Firth did 6th period's by herself since the class ran out of time.)

2, 3, 4, 6, 7: We went over words 13-15 on the Hamlet Vocab #1 sheet in preparation for our quiz tomorrow, then watched the Hamlet episode of Shakespeare Uncovered.
2, 3, 4, 6, 7: We went over words 9-12 on the Hamlet Vocab #1 sheet in preparation for our quiz on Friday, then watched Episode 1 of In Search of Shakespeare.
2, 3, 4, 6, 7: We went over words 5-8 on the Hamlet Vocab #1 sheet in preparation for our Hamlet Vocab #1 quiz on Friday. Then students paired up to go over the LitCrit Term Paper Checklist and read/responded to each other's drafts.
2, 3, 4, 6, 7: We received the Hamlet Vocab #1 list and went over the first four words. Then students had the remainder of the period to work on their first drafts of their Literary Criticism Term Papers. Anyone with questions about MLA style should check out the Purdue OWL.

2, 6: Everyone returned to their groups, and each group had finish their Grimm Critical Theory assignment about "Aschenputtel," "Snow-White," "Hansel and Gretel," "Rapunzel," "Little Red Riding Hood," or "Rumpelstiltskin," which everyone needed the Schools of Literary Theory guide in order to do. Mrs. Firth drafted sample thesis statements on the board based on random groups' theories. She reminded everyone of the Canterbury Tales Unit Exam Review for the test tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20, and distributed professional, collegiate, and student examples of Literary Criticism about The Canterbury Tales that we will discuss tomorrow.
