All classes: Anyone missing either section of the SLO made it up in the computer lab. Anyone not missing an SLO section had the period free to review for the upcoming final exam.
All classes: We did Part 2 (the essay portion) of the SLO. Makeups for either portion of the SLO will be done during regular class time on Monday, May 18.
All classes: We took the multiple-choice section of the British Lit Post-Test SLO. The SLO counts as a summative assessment in the gradebook. Makeups for this test will be during your normal class period on Monday, May 18.

All classes: We began our brief British Modernism unit with a lecture about the shift in British culture following WWI (and WWII). Then we began reading/annotating Siegfried Sassoon's "Wirers", which we will finish in class tomorrow along with Wilfred Owens' "Anthem for Doomed Youth".
I also continued to collect school-owned copies of Great Expectations. If you have lost your copy, please pay $12 to Mr. Banderas in the front office, then present either Nancy Brim or me with the receipt in order to clear your senior obligations. We went over expectations on the study guide for Victorian Period Unit Exam (37 questions; 22 about Great Expectations and 15 about Jane Eyre, "Porphyria's Lover," and "My Last Duchess." 7: Did not meet due to testing schedule. 1, 6: Took Great Expectations Reading Quiz #5 (Ch. 41-50). Worked on Group Response #9 and discussed the class calendar and upcoming events/obligations.
