Mrs. Firth began to introduce Gulliver's Travels. Mrs. Firth also issued copies of Gulliver's Travels and assigned Chapters 1 and 2 of Part 1 for homework. All classes: We went over words 1-4 on the Gulliver's Travels Vocab Sheet #2. Note: the word "clemency" was replaced with the homophone "discrete." Then we finished our Elements of Satire charts that accompany the Satire Video we finished, but did not hand in because Mrs. Firth suggested that there would be a Satire Quiz sometime soon in our immediate future. We then went over the Satire Project Handout & Rubric and looked at some satire examples from previous students.
